Review :
Dullish French inter-racial marriage piece.
With so many superior films about the immigrant communities in France, this marriage break-up piece comes as a disappointment. It seems immaterial that the couple are a black African and a white French woman though we do see the contrasting French Africans, the doctor and the seer.
Best element is the detailed Paris setting, the office of the stressed dress manufacturer partners, the banlieu home of the wife's father where she takes the children when their Xmas trip is called off and the cafe bar where the characters are regulars and Edmondson, the black singer brought in from the streets and become mistress to both the men sings in Marianne Faithful English.
Filmed (or at least transmitted) in desaturated colour with only the highlights toned.
