Following the death of his mother, Charlie sets aside his college plans to raise his highly imaginative 9-year-old brother Ben (Booboo Stewart). Isolated from his peers, Charlie accepts his responsibility yet secretly yearns for the freedom and romance associated with youth. Charlie suddenly gets his chance when he meets Jordan Rivers (Nick Bartzen), a charismatic drifter and fellow lost soul. The two of them hit it off immediately, and they soon embark on a tumultuous romance that gives Charlie a taste of the freedom he's been craving. Just as their relationship intensifies, however, Charlie's long-absent father, Doug (Barry Shay), returns to town with his own plans to take care of Ben. Caught in a struggle for Ben and eager to hold on to Jordan, Charlie must finally search his soul and make momentous decisions regarding the future of his family.

Pretty Good
Saw this movie on the new Logo channel.
I didn't understand the reason behind the drifter leaving at the end of the film. If they were so much in love, then why separate.
Also, I thought the younger brother played his role a little too young. I mean he was suppose to be playing 8 years old. 8 year old's are not that immature. By asking "Why?" to everything. Like - Can I watch television and the person says "No" and the kid would say "Why" and then every question answered to be a return to the "Why" answer again and again and again. A lot of the 8 and 9 year old's I know are pretty smart. And a lot of the stuff this kid was doing in his room was a little childish for his age - like building a fort and pretending he had a moat on his floor, that kind of stuff. I don't know, it just didn't look believable to me.
I kind of agree with a lot of posters on IMDb that say Mr. Lo should have hired another actor to play his role. He was kind of plastic - if you understand my meaning. other than that - I enjoyed the movie. Would watch it again. This Mr. Lo has a pretty face, that much I can tell you.
